Who We Are

We are loved… loved by one another, our family, our friends, and our Lord!  It’s hard to believe we’ve been married for 5 years!

We are each other’s opposite, to tell you the truth.  Matt is always calm; my mind is always running 100 mph.  I love to read; Matt is afraid of libraries.  Matt is obsessed with fitness… I’d rather study for hours than walk to the end of the street!   However, we have one thing in common, which is our love for Jesus.

Our Lord:
Matt is like my baby sister, an open book.  I, on the other hand, am intensely private by nature.  BUT, I can talk about my God all day long!  Both Matt and I have been walking with Him for a long time.  There is no God like ours!  No one talks to me the way He does.  No one fascinates me like He does (not even Matt).  He is our constant companion.  I can’t wait to teach our little one about Jesus.

Matt Pittman… according to Tiffany:

Matt is my constant.  Always in a good mood, always calm.  Matt’s mom (Jayne) calls him her “Mellow Fellow.”  I can always count on him for wisdom and unwavering support.   Matt definitely has his own thing with God. I’m a book worm by nature.   Matt studies God’s Word very little by comparison, yet God talks to him all the time!  I just want to say to God, “Really?  I’ve been studying You for hours and didn’t learn what You just told Matt!”  It’s infuriating, but mostly inspiring.

Matt is passionate about fitness and nutrition.  He is creative, optimistic, and funny.  When Matt sets his mind to something, his commitment is unwavering.  When God gave Matt a peace about adopting, he became instantly committed to our decision and very protective of it.  I know that he is going to make an amazing dad.  My weaknesses are compensated by his many strengths.  He is my best friend and my partner.

Tiffany (Wilborn) Pittman… according to Matt:

Tiffany and I complement each other.  She is very confident and well defined in who she is.  She worries too much about things in life, and perhaps I worry too little.  Together we even out and both pursue God in obedience.  Tiffany is extremely smart and very well written.  Her passion is Bible study and writing/teaching Bible study to others.  She is a huge student of Ravi Zacharias and loves to teach apologetics.

I consider Tiffany the brains of our marriage.  She reads all the time because she loves to learn.  She is disciplined, loyal, passionate, and personable.  I know Tiffany is going to be wonderful mom; but if I don't watch her, she will turn our kids into complete nerds!
